                           UM Judo

Daigaku Judo Dojo at the University of Montana was founded in 1964. It is the oldest sport club on the UM campus.  UM Judo Club practices traditional Kodokan Judo, incorporating competition training, self-defense and kata training into a well-rounded curriculum of practical and historical applications.

Fall 2009

After an excellent Spring, 2009 session, the UM Judo Club is looking forward to training and competing in the Fall of 2009.  We are fortunate to be able to welcome our Guest Instructors, Eveliina Kallioniemi, and Jana Cremer.

Eveliina is working at the Montana Forest & Conservation Station and comes to the UM Campus as a former national Judo champion of Finland and member of the Finnish National Team in the 58 kg division.

Janna trained at UM in the 1990s and has returned to train and teach.

Club classes start August 31, and meets MWF 6-7:30 in Schreiber Gym. Beginners welcome, all ages. Club dues are $30 per semester.
